Madko Tanto

The Madko Tanto offers flippers an elevated platform by utilizing premium materials and build quality. While it shares some resemblance to its sibling line, the Mako Bottle Opener, the Madko is a completely new experience. 

The Madko Tanto is our first 6AL-4V channel titanium balisong. Unlike a sandwich handle design which uses two thinner slabs of metal combined together with hardware, a channel handle is machined from a single block of material. The channel design offers superior durability and handle tolerances and we've added machined details to every side of the handles for improved grip and balance. The speed channel slot on the side of the handles provides a quicker weight profile and creates unique ringing sound while the jimping cutouts at the bottom of the handles provide excellent grip for ladder tricks.

The Madko Tanto also comes equipped with an extremely durable CPM 154 blade. CPM 154 is a high-performance stainless knife steel made using powder metallurgy and its main benefits include a fine grain structure that increases toughness and chipping resistance. It also provides excellent edge retention, corrosion resistance, and easier sharpening and polishing compared to traditional steels. The Madko Tanto blade is equipped with our signature precision-machined bushing system, used on all of our bushing models, for an optimized handle swing and near-zero handle tolerances. The spine is chamfered for added comfort and has aesthetic serration cutouts that provide a striking look while also helping refined the balance point.

All of these features culminate to a peak flipping experience that you’ll come to find with the Squid Industries Madko Tanto. If you already own a Madko Trainer, you'll find the transition to the Tanto to be nearly seamless.
